In 1990 four friends from the streets of Fillmoe, located in San Francisco set out to make records, that talked about the surroundings they grew up in. TMC was not a gangster rap group, as they felt a need to be social conscious. TMC's production style was helmed by MC Reece. Early TMC record production style was a cross between NWA and Public Enemy style productions. In later TMC records, the production changed considerably but was still a good listen.
